While K-pop boy band Super Junior is touring different countries fortheir "Super Show 3," another member is doing well in the military,fulfilling his two-year mandatory service as required for all Koreanmales.
Super Junior member Kangin is still adjusting to his life in the military and just being one of the boys.
Recently, Kangin was featured in the video blog “World’s Best HunnamStory,” showing his different activities and revealing his thoughts onhis military service and the fans.
In the video, Kangin is seen training, exercising, holding a rifle and doing all things that trainees are assigned to do.
Kangin’s enlistment in the military was decided upon after he was involved in two incidents last year.
In October last year, Kangin was driving a car when he hit a taxi inGangnam, Seoul. He fled the scene and surrendered to the police sixhours later. He was booked for hit-and-run.
Early this year, the Seoul Prosecutor’s Office sought a summaryjudgment against Kangin and meted him a fine of 8 million won (aboutP303,535). The case didn’t go to trial.
In September, Kangin was involved in a fight outside a bar also in Gangnam.
The incidents prompted SM Entertainment to suspend Kangin from SuperJunior. He was not involved in the latest album and didn’t participatein the boy band’s activities.
Last June, SM Entertainment announced that Kangin would be enlisting in the army on July 5.
Kangin is scheduled to be released from the army in April 2012.
